stamping on quilt fabric

It was popular in the 1800s to stamp with ink on quilts and write something or sign your name. So until I develop my special stamp I decided I could just write on the center of a hexagon civil war and reproduction fabric scrappy flower garden.  I used a brown micron fabric pen to write. I am happy!

Passing on what I know to the granddaughter

Josie is 5 1/2 and comes to see me on Monday's. She loves to sew on buttons and play with fabrics.  She wanted to make a crazy quilted purse so we got out the fabrics, she chose hers and with my help and the trusty Bernina we stitched down fabrics to a muslin base. She has a lot of patience and a great eye for color.  The hands cannot lie - old and young working together to create memories of good times together.  I hope she will always remember me
